Industry Forecast to Attract M&A Capital Flows in Vietnam in the 2025-2026 Period

Vietnam is increasingly asserting its position as an attractive M&A market in Southeast Asia. The strong recovery after the pandemic, administrative and institutional reforms and economic openness policies have caused more and more money to flow in from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Europe, etc. The period 2025–2026 is forecast to witness large-scale and exciting M&A deals, but only strategic, proactive and in-depth due diligence investors will reap sustainable results.

1. Technology - Digital transformation: "Bargain" but need to be careful

Fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), Financial Technology (Fintech), Educational Technology (Edtech), software as a service model (SaaS), are booming in Vietnam.Vietnam thanks to the explosion of digital consumption, internet connection and support from policies to encourage innovative startups. There are startups that mark rapid user growth and strong turnaround models.

2. Supporting Industry & Green Manufacturing: Connecting supply chain transformation opportunities

With the global "production chain restructuring" strategy, many multinational corporations are looking for alternative locations to China for midstream and downstream factories. Vietnam, with reasonable labor costs and favorable geography, has emerged as a bright candidate, especially in the fields of clean production, supporting industries, and renewable energy.

3. Healthcare - Pharmaceuticals: A "lucrative" industry in a changing social context

The aging population, increased awareness of health care after the pandemic, and changing consumer demands create momentum for growth in the medical and pharmaceutical industry in Vietnam. The market expands not only in pharmaceuticals, but also in the fields of hospitals, clinics, high-tech medical services, and medical technology.

4. High-tech agriculture: Long-term investment, potential along with challenges

Modern agricultural models such as greenhouses, smart irrigation systems, and environmental sensors are of special interest to many international investment funds. The interest from Japan and Israel further highlights the potential of this industry in Vietnam.

5. Logistics & Warehousing: The foundation for e-commerce boom

E-commerce boom makes demand forWarehouse, delivery and logistics in big cities and industrial zones escalating. This is an area with "fire" about the opportunity, but there are also many traps if not carefully appraised. However, in order not only to succeed but to really optimize benefits, investors need to prepare: from comprehensive risk evaluation, use of supportive technology to building investment structure and professional M&A.
